来源:多伦多市政府   更新:2018-09-25 20:27:09   作者:多伦多市政府

Nuit Blanche Toronto returns this weekend for an all-night celebration of contemporary art. From 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 29 to sunrise on Sunday, September 30, Toronto's neighbourhoods from West to East, Scarborough to Downtown, will be transformed by more than 400 artists. For the best experience, the public is encouraged to plan ahead. Information about all projects, including getting to and around the event, is available at https://nbto.com as well as below.

Planning ahead
The Nuit Blanche Toronto website (https://nbto.com) offers an interactive event map, exhibition locations, project descriptions, artist biographies and more, making planning the Nuit Blanche experience easy. A printed event map is available for pickup on Saturday, September 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Toronto City Hall (100 Queen St. W.) and Scarborough Civic Centre (150 Borough Dr.).

Nuit Neighbourhoods
New for this year, all Nuit Blanche Toronto art projects will be clustered into six easy-to-navigate neighbourhoods, making exploring the event even more efficient. The Nuit Neighbourhoods are Scarborough, Don Mills, Bloor-Yorkville, Downtown, Sterling Road and West Queen West. Details about each neighbourhood follow:

Scarborough: Twenty-eight projects will be on display at Scarborough Civic Centre, Scarborough Town Centre and the surrounding area, featuring eight projects as part of the exhibition "STYLL" and five projects along the Line 3 Scarborough (SRT) station platforms from the exhibition "The things they carried."

Don Mills: Free shuttles will connect Line 3 Scarborough (SRT) to the Aga Khan Museum and the Ontario Science Centre for a total of five projects in this area.

Bloor-Yorkville: Twelve projects are plotted north and south of the Bloor Street West corridor from the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) to the Bata Shoe Museum, and north of Spadina Museum Historic House and Gardens.

Downtown: Thirty projects are concentrated in and around Nathan Phillips Square/Toronto City Hall, expanding outward to Church of the Holy Trinity, Toronto Coach Terminal, Yonge Dundas Square and Bay Street. The area is anchored by 11 artworks from the exhibitions "Dream Time: We All Have Stories" and "The things they carried."

Sterling Road: Featuring three projects at the newly opened Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and the Drake Commissary, this west-end neighbourhood is a short walk from Lansdowne and Dundas West subway stations.

West Queen West: Artscape Youngplace is the heart of the West Queen West experience, featuring three art projects.

Mobile guide for navigating the night
From Saturday, September 29 to Sunday, September 30, a mobile version of the website is available to help the public navigate the event by using GPS on any device that can access the internet. Projects can be found by location, artist, project name or venue. Additional information about the mobile website can be found at https://nbto.com/footer/nuit-mobile.html

Social media throughout the night
Event updates, including tips on how to get the best event experience, will be available on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/nuitblancheTO throughout the night using the event hashtag #nbTO18.

Event Centres
Event Centres will be located at three locations: Nathan Phillips Square (100 Queen St. W.), Yonge Dundas Square (1 Dundas St. E.) and Scarborough Civic Centre (150 Borough Dr.). They will offer audiences printed and large-scale event maps, volunteer information ambassadors, washrooms, food vendors and first aid provided by Toronto Paramedic Services.

Dawn art experience – 4 to 7 a.m. September 30
For those who want to avoid the crowds or who are more of an early bird than a night owl, a more intimate Nuit Blanche experience awaits. Art enthusiasts looking to experience the event in a more intimate way are encouraged to do so between 4 and 7 a.m. on September 30.

TTC service
In addition to the regular all-night Blue Night Network service, the TTC will be extending all-night subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth. To help facilitate exploration of the artworks at Scarborough Civic Centre, Scarborough Town Centre and five SRT stations, Line 3 Scarborough (SRT) will run free all night. Free entrance will be granted at fare gates at Kennedy station (accessible), Lawrence East station, Ellesmere station, Midland station, Scarborough Centre station (accessible), and McCowan station. The 501 Queen Streetcar will be diverted onto King Street between Spadina Avenue and Church Street for the event.

Toronto Parking Authority
A list of Green P parking lots located closest to Nuit Blanche Toronto activities is available at https://parking.greenp.com/.

Road closures
Partial and full road closures will be in effect due to expected event attendance and to allow pedestrians safe and easy access to the art projects. As a result, portions of the following streets will be closed to vehicles:
- Queen Street West between Yonge Street and University Avenue from 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 29 until 9 a.m. on Sunday, September 30.
- Bay Street between Dundas Street W. and Adelaide Street W. from 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 29 until 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 30.
- Borough Drive between Brian Harrison Way and Town Centre Court from 8 a.m. Saturday, September 29 until 9 a.m. on Sunday, September 30.
