City of Toronto municipal election voters' list now available
Members of the public can now confirm if they are on the voters' list for the City of Toronto municipal election on October 22. The list identifies eligible electors, including their name and address as well as their school support.
Checking the voters' list early gives eligible electors time to add their names to the list, or to make changes to their information, such as a change of address. Being on the voters' list will also save time at the voting location.
Residents can check if they are on the voters’ list at https://www.toronto.ca/elections/myvote or by calling 416-338-1111.
How to be added to the voters’ list
New for this election, until October 1, eligible electors can add or edit their information online by using MyVote, available at https://www.toronto.ca/elections/myvote.
In order for eligible electors to appear on the final election day voters’ list, all revisions must be submitted to Election Services by October 14. This can be done:
• In person at one of the City Clerk’s office locations: Toronto City Hall; the Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough civic centres; or the Election Services office at 89 Northline Rd.
• By calling Election Services at 416-338-1111.
After October 14, eligible electors can add their name to the voters’ list when they vote on October 22.
Voter information cards in the mail
Voter information cards are being mailed to every eligible elector on the voters' list. The cards provide information about when and where to vote either during the advance vote October 10 to 14 or on election day, Monday, October 22. If a voter information card is not received, eligible electors can use MyVote to view their card at https://www.toronto.ca/elections/myvote.
Electors are encouraged to bring their voter information card with them when they vote. It will help make voting faster and easier. Electors can use their mobile device to show their voter information card electronically.
All electors are required to have identification showing their name and qualifying Toronto address. A complete list of identification is available at http://www.toronto.ca/elections/voters. The voter information card cannot be used as identification.
