福特（Doug Ford）上周末当选安省进步保守党党领，他在一些议题上的立场意味着什么？他是安省省长的好人选吗？
“多伦多城市论坛”将于周日（3月18日）下午4时至5时30分在万锦市举行题为“福特是安省省长的好人选吗？”的论坛活动。
论坛将讨论福特在一些议题上的立场：福特将取消性教育大纲和重启关于堕胎的讨论；他将取消碳税；他表示将在不削减公务员职位的情况下节省近60亿元政府开支；他将把大麻和酒的销售完全市场化；他将取消房地产外国买家税和冻结最低工资的增长。论坛也将讨论他是否是安省省长的好人选。
福特曾担任多伦多市议员，在上届市选中竞争多伦多市长职位，但输给了庄德利。福特被看作是民粹主义政治人物，被人和美国总统特朗普相提并论；也有人认为他实际上是一个温和的保守派。多项民意调查结果显示，安省进步保守党将在今年6月的省选中赢得多数党政府。有的调查显示，尽管进步保守党将胜出，但近半数选民不喜欢福特；有的调查则显示，福特比现任省长韦恩享有更多的支持。也有分析认为，福特当选进步保守党党领，有可能给新民主党带来当选的机会。
参加论坛讨论的6位主讲嘉宾，有政治人物的助理、前政党候选人，也有环保界专业人士、媒体人、地产行业人士和华人房东协会代表。
论坛前面部分将是由主持人主持的嘉宾讨论，后面部分将是观众提问、嘉宾回答问题环节。论坛主要以国语进行。
论坛组织者希望公众前往新旺角中心美食广场（8360 Kennedy Rd, Unionville, ON L3R 9W4）参与论坛活动。
论坛组织者萧振华表示，在未来的数周，论坛将继续讨论和省选相关的议题。
