温哥华市议会将在下周投票,就“短期出租房屋”,比如AirBnB,出台新管理规定。

温哥华市长罗品信(Gregor Robertson)周三表示,新规定将会设法既保持该市房屋低空置率,又允许民众出租房屋挣些外快。
按照公布的管理条例,房主或租客只可以将自己的”主要居住房,primary residences“对外出租。
这些出租屋需要在市政府登记,并缴纳每年49元费用。
新规定还要求,短期出租房主需要在网站等广告中列明自己的市政府登记注册号码。
同时,除了联邦以及省政府税收之外,AirBnB等公司需要另外向市政府缴纳3%的交易税。
罗品信预计,新规定实施之后,70%的短期出租房依然可以继续经营。
AirBnB是温哥华最大的短期出租平台。罗品信称它为“温哥华最大的酒店”。
数据显示,短期出租业务占了温哥华游客住宿的30%。
此外,多伦多也在酝酿新的短期出租管理规定。
