Texting Competition
Hey, teens! Who’s the fastest texter in Richmond Hill? If you are 13 – 18 years old, compete in our 5th annual texting competition and win the grand prize! Only 16 spots available, register now!
This competition consists of multiple rounds and participants compete against each other to text phrases as fast as they can. The finals will take place on the main stage and the winner of the competition will receive the grand prize.
When: Friday, July 1, 7 p.m.
Where: Teen Zone, Canada Day Celebrations, Richmond Green (1300 Elgin Mills Road)

Registration on Canada Day is from 6:15 – 6:45 p.m. at the Teen Zone located in Agricultural Building #2.
Capturing the green
Teens can show their creativity and capture Canada Day celebrations through their art!
Capturing the Green is a live-fast-paint event encouraging local, creative minds to celebrate Canada Day and showcase the joy of art. Participants, 12 – 18 years old, will be creating an original painting in public, outdoors, during Canada Day. Participants will be provided equal space, a chair and a blank 16’ x 20’ canvas. Participants are required to bring all the tools and materials they will need to complete their work of art.
A maximum of 20 artists will be accepted, and each piece of work will be judged by a group of experts in the arts and the audience. The top three works will be awarded prizes!
When: Friday, July1st, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Check in & Set up is 10 – 10:45 a.m.)
