Voter information cards in the mail, advance vote for Toronto District School Board by-election starts June 11
Voter information cards have been mailed out for the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) by-election. The cards tell electors where to vote during the advance vote or on Election Day.
The by-election is for the office of Trustee, TDSB Ward 14 (City Wards 27 and 28). The advance vote will be held on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Election Day is Monday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
An elector who has not received a voter information card can use the online tool Where Do I Vote at http://www.toronto.ca/elections/wdiv or call 416-338-1111 to find out where to vote. A voter information card is not required to vote, but electors must provide acceptable identification showing their name and qualifying address within TDSB ward 14 to receive a ballot. A list of acceptable identification is available at http://www.toronto.ca/elections/by-election.
During the advance vote, all voting places will be accessible. A voter assist terminal, available at each voting place, is provided to assist voters with disabilities in marking their ballot privately and independently. Electors who want to use this assistive device on Election Day should contact Election Services at 416-338-1111 by June 14 to make the necessary arrangements.
